More and more people are using treadmills to exercise their dogs, and I see a lot of people making mistakes when using treadmills.
Without knowing it, they are designing programs that are either (a) increasing their dog's risk for injury, or (b) designing programs that keep their dog's fitness level stagnant.
When designing ANY kind of fitness program (on or off the treadmill), you need to properly apply the concept of "progressive overload" if you want to see improvement.
What is progressive overload? How does it apply to treadmill use? How can the concept of progressive overload help you determine if your dog is doing too much or too little?
These are the topics that I cover in podcast Episode 81: Treadmill Use & Designing K9 Fitness Programs. Click here or below to listen now!
Also please note that you DO NOT NEED A TREADMILL in order to apply what I cover in this training! I just give various treadmill examples because this is where I see so many people in need of help, but anybody interested in canine (or human!) fitness can benefit from this show!
One of our goals for this year is to produce more free content for you! As we prepare for upcoming podcasts, articles, free workshops, and more, please let us know if there are any specific fitness and/or business topics that you'd like us to cover!
We look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. In this podcast show, I mention an article published by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. You can read that article at https://blog.nasm.org/progressive-overload-explained.
